Visual snow is a rare neurological condition characterized by tiny flickering dots or static, much like the "snow" on an old television screen, that appear across the entire field of vision. These dots can be black, white, colored, or transparent and are constantly present.
It has been more recently linked to tinnitus and migraines, though the exact cause is unknown.

    • I commented my experience with visual snow (idk if it got approved yet lol) but i think the hands and feet should be static along with the eyes and inner ear. colorful static would be cool, like an overlay of static with the current colors? I feel like the eyes should look more exhausted or like they’re trying really hard to focus. Also, somehow incorporate swirls/waves to represent everything constantly moving. Fogged glass is a good representation too, maybe make the fur look marbled or “foggy” if possible? This is all just what I would want on my visual snow rabbit considering my experience with visual snow.

    • I have visual snow and it is not fun. I never get to see the sky and the clouds without millions of tiny flickering dots covering my entire field of vision. When I look at a wall or ceiling it’s trippy, as the dots make everything look like it’s moving or twisting. It’s hard to look at and focus on things for a long period of time because the static makes me almost claustrophobic and eventually the dots and static become too distracting to even take in what you’re trying to look at. Looking at my phone screen right now is trippy because the static covering the LCD screen outlines everything with rainbow static flickering dots. Reading feels like watching the ocean. The whole page swirls around with the flickering dots, making letters and words look like they’re constantly moving. So, visual snow sucks. The rarity of the condition makes getting a diagnosis difficult and makes me feel like I should just shut up and put up with it.

    • I really love this one. As much as I love button eyes, I don’t want them for this bun. I realize stitching the eyes would be much more complicated, but I think it would be more fitting in the end. Some people mentioned dulling the colors. I do really love this color scheme, but I think I it would still look good if it were slightly more gray. I do agree the inner ears should have static too, and the one outer ear that’s yellow should be changed to magenta.

    • Love this! I agree some static in the ears would be nice, but so far this design is great ❤️

    • I know I just commented, but I had an idea that may be a wee bit out there. It could be fun to do an old TV motif since my visual snow always reminds me of TV static. Maybe instead of a heart do a TV or just make the eyes look like they are on a screen.

I know this is pretty out there and quite a change but I figured I’d mention it anyways.
