    • I would truly love to see an NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) plushie. As a suggestion, I believe there should be brownish or dark-pink patterning around the neck to represent Acanthosis Nigricans, or the dark patches developed on skin folds which is a common symptom of NAFLD. That is all 🥰

    • I think we really need a v2 for dermatillomania
I have this condition, and I really think the plushie could use a revision. Compared to your other designs, it feels a bit outdated, and the symbolism—mostly just scabs and marks—doesn’t really capture the experience of dermatillomania. I also feel like the design itself isn’t as appealing as some of your other plushies, though that’s obviously subjective.

I’ve seen a lot of people with dermatillomania say similar things. A common issue is that the plushie doesn’t feel comforting—it actually makes some people feel worse. I totally get that these plushies aren’t always meant to be traditionally cute, and making them a little gross (like the v1 Trichotillomania plushie) can work really well. But this one feels like it lands in an odd middle ground where it’s not cute or effectively unsettling in a good way.

What I love about a lot of your designs is that they really capture what it feels like to have a condition—like the ADHD or Existential Crisis plushies. For dermatillomania, that could mean adding elements that represent the guilt or physical pain that comes after picking. One thing that could make a huge difference is texture—so many people with dermatillomania find comfort in tactile sensations. The little bandages and scabs felling like an actual scab are a great start, but something like a pocket with a removable "picky pad" could be amazing, or materials that mimic reusable picking pads.

I also noticed that a lot of your other plushies incorporate alchemy symbols, which could be a cool addition here too. The awareness colors for dermatillomania are blue and green, so that might also be an interesting direction to explore.

Beyond just the visuals, dermatillomania is really tied to emotions—stress, anxiety, and self-soothing. A lot of people (myself included, as someone with ADHD) use skin picking as a way to cope, even though it can lead to guilt and frustration. It’s a complicated experience, and I think the plushie could reflect that in a way that makes it more relatable and comforting.

I really do appreciate the work that goes into these plushies, and I know it’s impossible to make one design that resonates with everyone. But I think this one could be improved in a way that makes it more meaningful and appealing to the people who actually experience dermatillomania.
