    • Please do a self induced trauma teddy bear maybe with a removable heart. For my friend who lost her kids and no matter how much success she has now and how far she is removed from her last will never get to be a part of their first 18 years. Thank you

    • Hypoparathyroidism or Parathyroid Disease
Suggestion for bunny to help people suffering and the children who live with parents that have post surgical Hypoparathyroidism. I Hope this is the right place to post and I know it’s a less prevalent disease than others but it’s a disease that has been almost ignored in most medical educations until recently and I hope at least one person will see this post and read a basic scientific article about parathyroid disease. It is Usually a result of total thyroid removal for thyroid cancer treatment that unintentionally damages parathyroids. As a 15 year survivor I can say it is not a well understood disease that is only treatable in the ER because you need the electrolyte IVs found on crash carts. The disease is confused with anxiety attacks (which can get you removed from the ER without treatment) but unlike anxiety attacks you are suffering low to nonexistent levels of calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, vitamin D, etc. resulting in every muscle in your body seizing up. From heart to legs, throat and brain. Horrible part of hypocalcemia (low calcium) is pain meds don’t work. Completely useless don’t ask for them till you calcium has reached normal levels. Your whole muscle system starts turning (literally) in on itself and force you into a ball shape over 24-48 hrs (from my experience). But your bones don’t move and curl like muscles and tendons will. You can’t cry. You can’t speak. You can hardly breathe. And during all this you have to maintain the knowledge and determination to explain hypoparathyrodism and the importance of testing for ionized blood calcium. Then fight the pain while you wait hours for blood results before they start treating you. Because if you succumb to the fear and pain you hyperventile which causes your body to be depleted of more electrolytes. The worst part from a parent standpoint is you can’t hide the symptoms leading up to an ER visit or the bruises, IV infiltration scars and deformities, and your weakened state from you child. You will miss out on many milestones in their life’s and if you want to see your child’s future you will sacrifice much of what you have worked for. If you want more info please let me know.

    • I feel like a psychosis bunny (as someone who might have psychosis) and having to deal with that sort of paranoia and to also possibly have it paired with schizophrenia (because I might have both but I'll be addressing that along with other concerns with my doctor) and dealing with the inability to understand what's actually going on or what's even real…

Also I think an Aroace pride bunny based off of the aroace sunset flag would be swaggers :3

    • I understand that an anorexia bunny risks controversy and negative PR, as it could be misconstrued as ED promotion, but I would really, really like one. Could we get an eating disorder recovery bun, at least?

Or maybe an anorexia bun could instead be marketed with less loaded terminology. Food anxiety bun?? And:

      - No references to pro-ED symbols (butterflies, red bracelets, etc.)

      - No references to body size (no bones, not a small/understuffed bun), especially because restrictive EDs come in all shapes and sizes

      - NEDA color scheme (green with dark blue accents) to represent support and recovery

      - Give the poor bun food to eat! Maybe mini worry bunnies that are designed to look like food, are attached to plush food, or are embroidered with food imagery? To show that despite the anxiety, people with restrictive EDs still can and should eat

      - To avoid glamorization, focus should be on representing health effects (e.g. dizziness, fatigue, feeling cold, heart & stomach issues) rather than disordered behaviors

      - Nose but no mouth, or magnets in the mouth and paws, as the sole subtle reference to restriction

      - To dispel any implications re:pro-ED communities, and to represent the social effects of the disorder, maybe a reference to isolation? The bun’s pupils could be downcast so it’s looking at its feet, which would also symbolize insecurity

A bunny like that would really make people like me feel less alone! :(

    • Tea themed buns (e.g. Earl Grey, green tea, black tea, chai, loads of flavour possibilities) lactose intolerance, and acid reflux
