The Mayo Clinic defines schizophrenia as "... a serious mental disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally. Schizophrenia may result in some combination of hallucinations, delusions, and extremely disordered thinking and behavior that impairs daily functioning, and can be disabling."
Due to popular demand we have taken another try at it! We kept the old eyes as they were a fan favorite as well as the scribbly heart, but now they have a hoodie as well as fitting our classic Plushie Dreadful body type!
The Schizophrenia Rabbit Set is the result of our Crowd Design process on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. During that process, we asked members of our community who experience schizophrenia to contribute design ideas that led to the plush rabbit you see presented here. It includes themes such as "word salad" and little buns stored in the pockets to represent intrusive thoughts.

IMPORTANT NOTE Regarding the design of our Plushie Dreadfuls. We take these topics seriously. That's why our design team only creates plushies related to issues with which they have direct experience. In cases where our team does not have direct experience, we assemble an external team of experts to help guide our creative process. In addition, we use Crowd Design to engage a wide range of voices via platforms like Instagram and Facebook. We gather and respond to feedback from our audience - many of whom have direct experience with the issues we're exploring. And while we strive to represent as many aspects of a particular issue as possible while avoiding stereotypical representations, we hope you understand that plush toys as an artistic medium do limit the full expression of a particular issue to those things that can be crafted in fabric and stitching.

He's very soft and comforting. I got this guy cuz I'm on the schizo spectrum and he's been helping me accept that. Since I've gotten him I have been taking him everywhere with me. His hoodie pocket thread is coming out, but I think I can fix that <3
I received it today and I love it so much. It's gorgeous and is so soft. The jumper feels like a real jumper and I can't express how beautiful it is to see any sort of representation of an illness where you know no one with it. I have a little buddy that I can relate to. I love it. Thank you so much. Such amazing care and detail. Bigger then I thought as well. Amazing.the tote bag is an amazing add in as well.
My boyfriend got me this bunny as a comfort for when he's not there and I must say I've fallen in love (don't tell him!!) It is beyond soft, I love the giant ears and the symbols on him. I sometimes cover my eyes with the ears when it's bright out and I want to sleep.
it's so so soft... I love the disorganised thought/speech bunnies and the heart on the chest. I got this because I felt deeply related to the idea of "living in two worlds" or being heavily disconnected from reality. The glittery eyes are really cute and the ears are nice to snuggle with- this was my first plushie dreadful and it's made me want even more.
It was a perfect gift for my partner. He's said he's been wanting it for awhile now so I saved up to get it for him, and he loves it! The quality is amazing, the fur is ridiculous soft, and the button eyes are gorgeous. He takes it out with him often, bringing his little friend to work and the local card shop to keep him company. I think I can safely say it's probably his favorite plush.
