Antisocial Personality is not simply being shy or avoidant of other people, people with this disorder have significant difficulty starting and maintaining interpersonal relationships. They may have trouble following rules and laws, and end up in legal trouble if they do not receive help early and often. Note that this disorder like many other disorders exists on a spectrum, and not all of the most extreme symptoms are experienced by everyone.
