I agree with all of the comments describing the characterizations of chronic pain. I love what you have done and had a couple of ideas-If you could incorporate the FACES pain scale and a lightning bolt to signify those suffering from chronic neuro pain.

I definitely would like to see darker but still intense, saturated colors as opposed to muted. Chronic pain is intense!! Even with pain medication, I tend to feel things more acutely. I’d also like to see baggy eyes .

I agree with a lot of the comments about the colours being darker, chronic pain (CRPS) is a dark and sinister syndrome. Personally the spiky bracelets shouldn’t be there because a lot of chronic pain sufferers have allodynia and to cuddle a bunny with spikes on him/ her would cause a lot of pain if they touched the places where people have allodynia. I also think that if this bunny is representing CRPS as well as other chronic pain conditions then the bunny needs to show more scar stitching, fire symbols and in general be more beaten up.
I’ve recently purchased your new Gold ASD Bunny because to me he represents CRPS so well with the orange infinity sign (CRPS is the orange ribbon and we are in pain all the time, the infinity symbol), his hands are walls to show putting up or guards to hide our pain from everyone, he’s incredibly soft and soothing to hold with the Fiddle bubble material in the inner ears (CRPS requires a huge amount of distraction and aids to help cope with the pain). The only thing missing from the ASD Gold Bunny that would make it perfect for CRPS is scars, tired eyes, a tear drop and possibly as others have said a zipper with a pill bottle/ bandage/ heat pack etc.. Even the brown colour of the bunny with the orange inner ears (which represents fire to me), the eyes looking away, to me, is symbolisation of being or feeling ignored by the medical profession and the little orange dots in his eyes represents the strength and resilience as well as the fire we feel in our bodies, is perfect for CRPS.
So I know you didn’t make the Gold ASD Bunny for CRPS but it resonated with me and my condition (CRPS) and the Bunny I want to cuddle when I’m having a flare-up far better than the Chronic pain Bunny. In fact she (mine’s a girl) is doing her job right now and has been a massive help for the last week or so during this particular flare-up.
If anyone out there has CRPS look at the Gold ASD Bunny and maybe he’ll resonate with your too.

I think there should be one tiny tear at on eye to represent hiding tears from the pain.

In my opinion having at least 50 bunnies at home that this would be much better with a brace or wrap for sure and be darker as chronic pain isn’t something we can explain its almost a dark secret hiding the pain the way we do.

I would love to see a mobility aid or brace, wrap etc.
Darker colors. Dark teal would be nice. Still colorful but dampened.
The bottle idea is great. I think it would be nice to have it removable for people who opt out of chemical aids. Or have had prev addiction issues based on opioids etc.
I love the baggy eyes idea

    • The eyes need to show more pain…, but the rest of the face is looking like everything is just fine. I try to hide my pain all the time, especially around people I don't know well, but the eyes tend to give it away.
    • If there could be a small pill bottle, a tube of "bengay", icepack/heating pad, or something to highlight the supportive measures those with chronic pain need as a removable accessory that would be great.
    • Also, if there could be more stitch marks/scars…most people that have chronic pain have been through many surgeries and feel like we've been put back together repeatedly, but not always correctly.
    • As for the filling, I envision this bunny being a bit more firm than others…this is to represent how tough and strong a chronic pain sufferer really is.

Maybe a less popular opinion but I prefer that the colour pattern is more unique and not a darker, more monotone colour! A lot of the other health designs already have the more purpley/blue or muted palettes, so its nice to have this design stand out, especially for those who may already own some of the other plushes. My chronic pain always feels loud and prominent, so having the brighter colours makes me feel more heard and seen, since its easy to feel invalidated when its invisible to others : )

totally agree that a pill bottle accessory would be perfect!! and either more wound stitching or bandaids to signify more pain areas

The design is super cute and representative! I would add some ideas:

    • Hidden sad heart in the chest . Usually chronic pain patients hide their pain, whether in a greater or lesser way. It could be removed from a small and narrow pocket/hole.

    • A smile or :3 face . Related about my previous point, they hide the pain since it is an invisible disease and itsç is better to put a happy face rather than explain to others.

    • Baggy eyes . We all know that having chronic pain is exhausting and is reflected very well in the eyes, regardless of where the pain comes from.

    • Small removable bandages/band aids . Not all pain comes from the same body part so it would be cool if you could choose which body part to highlight.

The colors and all of the original features are fabulous, a great bunny to cuddle with.

Finally… something for CRPS (chronic pain regional syndrome! I can’t wait for this to come out!! And I love the actual color teal because it is the color of deception.. anyone with chronic pain understands the daily show we put on.

It can hold a "paper" prescription or a pain pill/bottle in its hand. A colour to represent bruising (blue, green, or purple shades). Something showing an endless cycle or a loooong passage of time, like a broken hourglass. Something showing repeated trips to the hospital, like several identification arm bands. I like the expression the way it is: tired in the eyes and neutral everywhere else as though it's saying "I'm fine" but nothing is ever really fine.

Maybe also something representing us feeling like we aren’t heard and the fact that so many of us mourn a pain free life.

I agree, Colors would be better if dark and deep in tone. Colors that feel colder because it’s often going to lead us to feeling isolated.

Chronic pain is depressing. The colors are way too happy for chronic pain. What about army green instead of bright green. Camo colors because I camouflage my pain behind a fake happy face…

A spine with a clearly damaged discs. And he should come with a mobility aid as many pain conditions require it

I agree with the others; more muted colors. My chronic pain is heavy feeling. I would love more lines under the eyes, showing bags and tiredness. Maybe a bag that can be taken on and off that is full of "rocks"? A weight of responsibilities and life and yet you can't do them. Defiantly would love something on the back; that's where my pain lies and it's awful. Makes it hard to sit up, bend over, even breathing can be hard.
