i got the first version of this rabbit back in 2023 after my laparoscopy for suspected (and subsequently diagnosed) endometriosis. recovery wasn’t a great time, and the cutesy nature of v1 was an appreciated distraction—it’s soft, sits upright on its own, and is robustly stuffed (very good for hugging!). it felt like the obvious choice to get the second design and it proved to be a good decision.

now for the meat of the actual product that needs to be reviewed: v2 is cute, but the updated design reflects a lot of more real parts of the condition. the slightly pained expression, temperature dysregulation color scheme on the paws, the little surgical scars on the abdomen…it isn’t as demure as v1 but it still feels comforting in a strange little way. it isn’t quite as chubby as v1 and can’t sit upright, but tbh that symbolically hits close to home. the fur has a different texture and feels really nice. the hat is a nice addition to the design and the quality of the knitwear is very good.

all in all, v2 is very sweet, i enjoy it a lot, and i like to keep the two of them close to each other so they aren’t alone.

In December of 2024 I made the difficult decision but also not so difficult decision for myself to get a total hysterectomy. After getting the surgery, I learned I had endometriosis. Learning that helped valid my feelings that I made the right decision to have the hysterectomy. This year I treated myself to this precious bunny to represent myself and the other women who suffer from endometriosis to spread awareness for it. To remind women like me that it's not all in our heads; that it's not normal. This little bunny has become of my best friends and I love her. Her pastel colors are so calming. I named her Juniper, calling her Juni for short, after the Juniper tree. Thank you for bringing endometriosis to light so we are seen and heard.

I waited a long time for this plushie, and believe me when I say she was worth every second. She’s better than I ever could have imagined; her fur is a bit of a different texture from most Dreadfuls, but soft and fun to touch. The pom-pom on her hat is incredibly soft, and the hat itself isn’t scratchy at all despite being made from what looks to be a quality sweater material. Her stuffing is firm and consistent throughout. This is some of the best work Plushie Dreadfuls has to offer.

I missed out on the original Endometriosis bunny to my chagrin, but when I saw that a brand new, reimagined design of this lovely bun was being released I was beside myself with elation. I don't think that the designers could have chosen a more beautiful color palette, or a more sumptuously soft fabric for this precious little friend. Her sweet, sad eyes will tug at your heartstrings and refuse to let go - and when you've got her nestled in your arms, it's near impossible to put her down. The removable pom-pom hat is such an adorable bonus accessory and the embroidered details are a meaningful nod to those who live with the realities of this disease. This bunny is a powerful symbol of support for those who suffer from endometriosis, but it is also a powerful way to *show* your support for those who struggle with this condition - so whichever side of the equation you fall on, this plush is the perfect new friend for you.

I love the colours and design for this one. A little comfort bunny for when the endo is making you feel hopeless😔.
