    • I don’t have this diagnosis, yet I completely understand where you are coming from! My mind races at night and I have to take meds to sleep or else I will be awake the full night and sleep the entire day.

    • I feel like just an autism bunny is nice, but it doesn't include aspergers, mostly because I have tics and anger outbursts that come with it. Aspergers is a bunny with a twisted head with (maybe) removable eyes circling the head, for being hyper aware of our surroundings, and hands that we can pick at, (at least for me) for picking is a way to cope! That's all I can think of as for now<3
Oh and maybe a hidden belly pocket for undiagnosable disorders?

    • Good news! They have a narcolepsy bun already😊

    • Hi! So, I just wanted to put the little proverbial bug in the ear about another version of the narcolepsy bunny. I have type 1 narcolepsy with cataplexy and I don’t see a ton of symbolism in the current that corresponds to my own personal experience.

I would love it if there was another version of the narcolepsy bunny that highlights the struggle of being asleep during the day and awake during the night but never feeling like a full person in either time space. I take a stimulant to keep me up throughout the day but it’s like a half life in that I just feel like my body is awake but my brain isn’t or vice versa. Once the sun sets, I feel human again. I have more energy and I feel better. The downside is knowing that I have to now force myself to sleep. I personally feel like I’m constantly being pulled between sleep and awake and neither one feels real.
The cataplexy symptom is pretty rare and it’s a sudden loss of muscle strength. I am semi-mobile but I have spent months in a wheelchair because my legs don’t have enough strength to work. One of the worst parts about cataplexy is that it’s triggered by strong emotions so I have been standing, laughing with friends and dropped to the ground. The easiest way to describe it is that my body is suddenly asleep but my brain is awake so I can hear and feel everything around me but since my body is asleep I can’t respond.

I’d love it, if the next potential version of a narcolepsy bunny could involve something to highlight the split feeling and what it feels like to be locked in your body, unable to do anything. It would be cute if the bunny was split down the middle and looked like two bunnies stitched together. One side could look like the day or just brighter colors but it’s eye and half of its face is all sleepy and very droopy. The other side could be like the night but not just black. Almost like how Vincent Van Gogh described the night, as being a million colors and the little bunny’s face on that side could be very alert and awake. I am not sure how the cataplexy could be more incorporated other than just making the bunny very very floppy and with not a ton of strong structure so symbolize the lack of muscle strength.

Anyway, that’s it I guess. I thought it was a cute idea to be shared and I hope someone gets a kick out of it at least.

    • I would love to see a Heart failure bun. I live with it and so do a lot of others. 💜
